Signal Coding Method for Acoustic Sensing in Occlusion Area Using Super-directional Sound Source

(in English) Acoustic sensing is sensing in air using sound waves. As sensing technology, various kinds of signals such
as light, radio waves, sound waves, and lasers are used. Sound waves have a longer wavelength than light and radio
waves, and physical phenomena called diffraction are likely to occur. In this research, we focused on the phenomenon
of diffraction by sound waves, and tried to detect objects in invisible regions that can not be detected by visible
light. In the experiment, by using a parametric speaker that can reproduce low-frequency sound waves with sharp
directivity, it is possible to prevent SNR reduction and multi-path fading etc., generate diffraction phenomena by
sound waves, and detect objects in the invisible region . Then, the optimal coding signal for object detection in the
invisible area in airborne sound is sought, and the signal coding method is compared and evaluated.
