An Approach to CISTEM Education utilizing Robotic Platforms -- Hands-on Practice for Biological Sensing and System Control using a Custom Module Type EMG Interface --

(in English) For education in biomedical engineering, we are going to work on Clinical, Information, Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, and Medicine (CISTEM) education to establish a systematic educational curriculum. In this report, we introduce our attempt to enhance student's problem consciousness and motivation for research and development
by making students voluntarily aware of significant problems commonly required for medical instruments and medical systems through production tasks utilizing robotic platforms from the viewpoint of biological sensing and system control. Specifically, we propose an EMG interface (EMG littleBits) developed as a teaching material for hands-on practice and demonstrate practical applications in the biomedical engineering school.
