Theoretical Analysis for Optimization of Frame Aggregation in IEEE802.11ac
Kosuke Suzuki, Satoshi Yamazaki (Numazu NCT) CQ2019-17
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) Though the ultra-high-speed transmission can be realized using the IEEE 802.11ac standard, future topics related to frames such as frame efficiency improvement and uplink transmission frame are mentioned. In this report, we focus on 802.11ac frame aggregation and consider optimization of the number of frame aggregations to maximize network throughput. Specifically, we theoretically show the optimal combinations for the number of A-MSDU and A-MPDU subframes to maximizes theoretical throughput under the constraints of the 802.11.ac standards. Moreover, we show the effects of data size, number of terminals and RTS/CTS for optimal combinations.
