Region-Adaptive Range-Kernel-Optimization for Constant-time Bilateral Filtering

(in English) Bilateral filter (BF) is a kind of edge-preserving filter and is used in various image processing applications. BF suffers from high computational complexity in real-time processing due to the time-variant kernel.
Therefore, various accelerations for BF have been proposed. In this paper, we formulate the method for comprehensively dealing with various approximation methods of constant time bilateral filter, and evaluate the approximation performance from the error function. In addition, we make it higher performance by tiling and range fitting.
Experiments show that the our implementation not only runs faster but also achieves higher accuracy than the state-of-the-art methods.
