Received Power Fluctuation by Antenna Directivity at 4.5 GHz and 28 GHz Bands

(in English) For the next generation mobile communication system in recent years, high frequency bands such as 4.5 GHz and 28 GHz are investigated to the frequency assignment. In this paper, in order to consider the received power fluctuation by directional antennas, we measured received power by using omni directional and some directional antennas in indoor environment. As the antenna directionals, we use a visible light transmittance antenna at the 4.5 GHz band and a waveguide slot array antenna at the 28 GHz band. According to the measurement results, we show that the received power fluctuation for main beam direction by using the waveguide slot array antenna at 28 GHz band especially becomes smaller than the omni directional one.
