Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) In the Fresnel region, high-efficiency Microwave Power Transmission (MPT) needs to estimate not only Direction of Arrivals (DOA) of the pilot signal from a receiver but also the distance between the transmitter and the receiver. We use Near-Field DOA Matrix Method to estimate both DOA and the distance. This method has been used only for wireless communication but not for MPT. In this paper, we report a basic research to improve the accuracy of this method by using a uniform linear array with large and small element spacing, which overcomes generating the grating lobes.
