Extending transmission distance using optical fractional OFDM

(in English) Optical fractional OFDM can reduce peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) which is an issue in optical OFDM. Because of this advantage, fractional OFDM can increase the launch power and it is expected to extend transmission distance. In this work, we evaluate the extending effect of transmission distance of fractional OFDM with keeping the best spectral efficiency of OFDM.
