[Invited Talk] Application-Specific Network Slicing Leveraging P4 Switch and Deep Learning
Ping DU, Akihiro Nakao (UTokyo) NS2019-9
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) The future Mobile networks are expected to support multiple kinds of applications with different QoS requirements.
Effectively identifying application is desirable for network operators to improve spectrum efficiency and user experience in both Radio Access Network (RAN) and Core Network (CN). In this presentation, we present an application-specific mobile network architecture leveraging P4 and in-network deep learning to apply application specific radio spectrum scheduling in RAN, Quality-of-Service (QoS) control and various network function per application. We will first present the P4 workflow and how to generate expert data with P4 switch. Then we will introduce how to identify the application applying the deep learning with the generated expert data. Finally, we will also introduce the evaluation of our proof-of-concept implementation on FLARE.
