This paper describes a low power Sub-GHz receiver. The proposed receiver employs a modified input matching network for impedance matching in such a low operating frequency, eliminating the need for off-chip components. The modified matching circuit increase the inductance while maintaining almost the same area. The flipped-voltage-follower (FVF) cell is adopted in the low pass filter and in the variable gain amplifier for its high linearity and low power consumption. Implemented in 65nm CMOS, simulation results show that this receiver achieves a noise figure of 8.3dB while consuming 0.82mW power. Compared with its counterparts, this chip does not require off-chip components, consumes less power, occupies smalls chip area while provides comparable noise and linearity performance. |
