[Poster Presentation] An Initialization Method for Multichannel Nonnegative Matrix Factorization using Nonnegative Independent Component Analysis

(in English) Recently, devices that handle voice have become widely used, and there is a demand for a technique to extract only the target sound from the background sound. At that time, a technique for extracting only the target sound from the background sound is required. Sound source separation is a technique for extracting the target sound by separating mixed sound sources. MNMF(Multi-channel NMF)is a technique of sound source separation, and by extending NMF to multi-channel, high precision sound source separation using spatial information is possible. However, MNMF has a difficulty in an initial-value dependency of the separation performance because MNMF has much more free parameters than NMF. In conventional study on initialization, an initial value determination method using nonnegative independent component analysis for NMF has been proposed. However, this initial value determination method is for NMF of a single channel and there is a problem that it can not be applied to MNMF. In this research, we propose an initial value setting method to improve separation performance for MNMF. We propose a method to determine the initial value of MNMF using NICA. In the experiment, we separated the observation signals mixed with three sound sources and compared the separation accuracy. In conclusion, we were able to confirm improvement of separation accuracy in specific environment.
