Proposition of real-time line monitoring system for realization of OPEN PHONONICS NETWORK

(in English) As the optical network becomes open, it becomes an operational problem that maintenance and troubleshooting of network infrastructure becomes complicated. Particularly in multi-vendor operation environments, it is very difficult to isolate the cause when a fault occurs, such as different alarm issuing conditions of each vendor device. In this paper, we focus on the breakpoints between vendor-independent lines and each device and propose a real-time line monitoring system dedicated to line fault detection that could not be realized with conventional OTDR(Optical Time Domain Reflectometer).
