Achievement of Channel Estimation Based on Complex TFI and Linear Interpolation for SP-OFDM

(in English) In an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM), the pilot signal is utilized for the channel estimation (CE).However, since it is a redundancy signal, scattered pilot (SP) has been proposed to reduce the number of pilot signals. SP needs to the interpolation between the pilot signals. Linear interpolation is achieved simply, but large error is occurred in the sharp changing of the channel. Time frequency interferometry (TFI) reduces the error by averaging the channel impulse response of the different time window. Moreover, complex TFI (C-TFI) increases the number of time windows and the error is more reduced. On the other hand, its redundancy is to be large compared with the conventional TFI. To solve these problems, in this paper, we propose the CE based on the C-TFI and the linear interpolation for a SP-OFDM. From the computer simulation result, the proposed method shows the improvement of the bit error rate (BER) and throughput performances.
