| (in English) | “Presentation to visually impaired people” and “Presentation by a visually impaired person” are provided as main topics in this paper. When you will have a presentation to the audience including visually impaired people, the visibility of the presentation slides should be improved, and you should explain all graphical elements like figures, pictures, and graphs by your voices to realize a presentation without seeing your slides. Trying to use the way of play-by-play radio voice is useful to make such a presentation though, it is also effective to use concrete numerical values or variety of familiar examples. On the other hand, when the presenter is visually impaired person, inserting of gestures and/or body language makes his/her presentation more natural. In addition, taking a glance at memos and keeping time should be points to be considered. They are easy for sighted person; however, it is quite difficult for the blind or severely visually impaired people. Utilizing a smartphone or IT gadget to solve these problems is important and visually impaired presenter must learn how to use them. | |
