A Method for PAPR Reduction of NCSP-OFDM with Low Out-of-Band Emission

(in English) In general, OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) signals have characteristics of both high OOBE (Out-of-Band Emission) and high PAPR (Peak-to-Average Power Ratio). N-continuous Symbol Padding (NCSP)-OFDM is a method for OOBE suppression of OFDM signals, that is to seamlessly connect OFDM symbols up to the high order derivative coefficients. However, it has not considered to improve the high PAPR property of them yet. This paper proposes a PAPR reduction method of NCSP-OFDM signals that uses DFT precoding before generating correction symbol of NCSP-OFDM. Numerical experiments show that the proposed method can reduce their PAPR without any OOBE performance degradations.
