5G network is expected to be a heterogeneous network composed of multi-band , multi-cell wireless technologies to accommodate increasing mobile traffic. Wireless LAN is also a promising wireless access technology integrated to the 5G network as low-cost and high capacity wireless cells. In high density environment, the Wireless LAN has a problem of throughput degradation due to the well-known exposed/hidden problem in CSMA/CA based channel access mechanisms. To address this problem, previously we proposed the mobile cooperative Wireless LAN system which control Wireless LAN systems from the network. In this paper, we proposed a method to improve throughput of wireless LAN under high density environment by Wireless LAN parameter control assuming IEEE 802.11ax in cooperation with cellular. The effects were clarified by experiments by computer simulation. |
