[Invited Talk] R&D and Proof Tests on the Wireless Grid using SUN -- NICT's Activities toward realization of IoT Society --

(in English) This paper reports on the R&D on the wireless grid diversification by assuming its application to the IoT that are expected as one of the most important next generation radio communication systems. In this study, we propose a concept of wireless grid that means a grid structure constructed by several radio devices and also assume employment of SUN systems for effective smart-metering. This paper further reports on t the high-capacity data collection network with many radio devices, the ultra low-energy operation network assuming battery driven long life operations and the reinforced mesh network that expands radio deployments. The paper proposes future enhancements for the wireless grid system.
