In this report, we propose an image enlargement algorithm with a color quantization considering infrequent salient colors.
With underlying assumption that speeded-up packages can be utilized, the proposed method employs the traditional K-means and the bicubic interpolation packages for color quantization and enlargement, respectively.
In the proposed method, an input full-color image is enlarged by the bicubic interpolation.
Then, the colors of the enlarged image are quantized by the K-means algorithm with considering local quantization errors between original and color-reduced images.
We have verified the effectiveness of the proposed method through the experimental results. |
