| (in English) | Possibilities and challenges on future wireless communications with spectrum sharing approach are discussed. Demand of frequency spectrum is rapidly increased to cover emerging IoT applications and upcoming 5G mobile communication systems. However, it is difficult to maintain frequency spectrum according to these demands because long-term technical study and regulatory discussion between various existing wireless services and new wireless service are necessary. So far, dynamic spectrum-sharing based wireless communications based on cognitive radio technology has been considered as a promising solution to utilize limited spectrum resource more efficiently. However, many hurdles still exist from the viewpoint of regulations and technology to put such spectrum-sharing based wireless technology for practical use. In this talk, brief survey on technology development and regulatory discussion for dynamic spectrum sharing is provided. Also, technical challenges are discussed for implementation of spectrum-sharing based wireless communications based on this survey. | |
