Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) Various researches have been made towards reduction of dozing driving which is one factor of traffic death accident. Intake of beverages is said to be effective in suppressing drowsiness, and general drivers are also widely used as drowsiness control. Therefore, in this study, the effect of suppressing drowsiness by three types of beverages (lemon beverage, sugarless coffee, water) was verified using a driving simulator. Analysis of the data such as the obtained biological signals during driving and vehicle operation information showed that ingestion of lemon drink in decrease in arousal level shows the same effect as sugarless coffee consumption and lemon as a dozing driving countermeasure Suggesting the effectiveness of drinking intake.
