A Study on Transmission Cycle Control for Car Locations Based on Traffic Conditions of Connected Cars

(in English) This paper proposes a transmission cycle control scheme for mobile location position information for connected car systems based on congestion conditions in a block of each lane on the road. In the proposed scheme, road congestion condition is measured by the average car speed in each block, and transmission cycle of car location in the block is broadcasted in addition to the integrated car location information. Computer simulation confirms that the proposed scheme can efficiently utilize radio resource while keeping estimation of location errors almost constant regardless of mobile speed.
