Periodic Interference Cancellation Including Steep Characteristic Change With Adaptive Filter

(in English) When measuring bioelectric signals such as electroretinogram(ERG), periodic interference originated from power lines becomes a major obstacle. On the other hand, when cancellation of such a periodic interference is performed using an adaptive filter, the filter coefficient fluctuates due to the ’self cancelling’ component caused
by the bioelectric signal itself, and the noise cancelling performance deteriorates. When the fluctuation of the filter coefficient is comparatively gentle, it can be suppressed by smoothing with a low-pass filter. However, in the case where the variation of the filter coefficient is steep, tracking becomes insufficient. In this paper, through numerical
experinments, we confirmed that this problem can be solved by using wavelet transformation with sparse modeling concept, ε-filter and bilateral filter for smoothing adaptive filter coefficients on the premise of off - line processing.
