| (in English) | Recently, many applications of UAV (Unmanned aerial vehicle) have been studied and developed actively for logistics and delivery services. However, these services are difficult to operate in urban areas due to ground safety problem when the UAV crashes. In urban areas, watt-hour meters with wireless communication functions called smart meters become widely used and are able to form a large-scale wireless sensor network. This paper proposes a UAV navigation method to fly UAV along the flight path considering ground safety by using the information from a wireless sensor network. In the proposed method, the sensor network constructs a flight path of the UAV, and then the UAV flies along the path based on received signal strength from nodes in the path. This paper also reproduces the radio propagation environment, which is based on a real experiment, on the simulator and verifies the behavior of the UAV by computer simulation. | |
