A Study on Performance Evaluation of MIMO Channel with Multilevel Spreading Codes

(in English) To suppress the noise enhancement, a new spread spectrum communication system with Gold code had studied in our previous work. This paper proposed a multilevel spreading sequence using chaotic code on our system. The proposed system regards the spreading code matrix as part of MIMO (multiple-input multiple-output) propagation channel, and performs equalization. First, auto- and cross-correlation functions of the proposed code are examined and it is shown that the proposed code has the nearly same performance as the conventional binary code (Gold code). Next, the BER (bit error rate) of the proposed system under frequency-selective fading environment is evaluated by computer simulation. Then, the influence of channel estimation error on the BER is studied by using Gaussian error model. As a result, it is shown that the proposed system is effective in actually assumed wideband communication environment.
