This paper presents performance characteristics of an effective slot selection method under congestion in infrastructure-less Cellular-Vehicle-to-Everything communications (i.e., mode 4) in Crash Warning Application. In mode 4, each node infers transmission slots from the information of past slots. The number of slots with a positive time correlation of the information, however, reduces under congestion. Each node, hence, incorrectly selects the slot of high interference. To solve this problem, this paper applies a proposed slot selection mechanism that putting a high weight for information of recent slots. Our results revealed that this method was of 11 % higher quality than current mode 4. |
