| (in English) | Source-routing protocol is one of the most prospective transport-protocols for future transport networks due to its scalability and flexibility with respect to the traffic control. Current specification supports only unicast transport, and its extension toward multicast transport is under the discussion, which implies that there is a room for the enhancement of the protocols. In this paper, we focus on the protocol called Bit Index Explicit Replication (BIER) aiming source-routing for multicast transport and discussed on Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF), and propose a modification for the data-plane procedure to mitigate the header-enlargement which becomes more challenging when applying BIER to the large-scale networks, e.g. ISP's core-networks. We evaluate quantitatively how the length of packet headers is omitted by our proposed scheme under a simple example of classified ladder structure of transport networks. | |
