In this paper, we propose a method to enable smartphone users to communicate to the Internet via high speed wireless LAN APs which is equipped in automobiles continuously passing through the users. By using a high-speed wireless LAN, high throughput communication is possible even in a short period of time such as passing a car. However, it is necessary to investigate whether desired communication quality can be achieved even with technologies using millimeter radio waves such as IEEE802.11ad. We focused on three parameters (distance between automobiles and pedestrian, speed of automobiles, the number of passing automobiles) affecting communication quality in the proposed method, and quantitatively evaluated the effectiveness of the proposed method by simulation. As a result, when the distance was 3m, the speed of automobiles was 40 km / h, and the number of passing automobiles was 10 units / 10s, the throughput was 5.2 times higher than that of LTE and break time was about 0.31 seconds. |
