Validation of Cost-saving by Network Control Considering Electricirty Unit Price

(in English) With the expansion of network services, it is urgent issue for telecommunication carriers to reduce the service provisioning cost. Recently, by utilizing NFV, reduction of CAPEX and OPEX and effective utilization of physical resources through virtualization are expected. Several studies have reported the control methods that minimize the power consumption of devices such as servers have been studied to reduce service provision cost. However, although the electricity bill is a multiplication of the electricity consumption and the unit price of the electricity cost, until now different electricity unit price has not been considered for each electric power company in each area. In this paper, we propose a network control method considering different electricity unit price for each area and time zone, and demonstrate the usefulness of cost saving by this control by simulation.
