Indoor Flight Control of UAV Using LED Panel

(in English) We propose an UAV flight control method using LED panels and a camera on the UAV. Specifically, a LED panel displays some patterns related to UAV commands and blinking patterns for panel detection. The panel detection process based in UAV camera images uses the frequency of green blinking as a cue for panel detection and command patterns are identified. After that. The UAV performs tasks based on this pattern. In the experiments, we perform panel detection and identification of command patterns using an UAV and two LED panels. UAV repeats moving from LED panel to next one and detecting next panels, recognizing command patterns. We confirm the effectiveness of method for UAV continuous motions.
