Charge transfer complex composed of Tetrathiafulvalene (TTF) and 7,7,8,8-Tetracyanoquinodimethane (TCNQ) showed high conductivities at room temperature. It has been reported that electrical signals promote differentiation and proliferation of cells, so the conducting scaffolds materials was interested in electrical and medical devices. Since nanocoils generate induced current by the magnetic fields, scaffolds composed of nanocoils are expected to promote differentiation and proliferation of cells.
In this study, we synthesized S-TTF-4UM. We prepared CT complexes composed of S-TTF-4UM and F4TCNQ. UV-vis spectra of these complexes showed CT absorption around 700~900 nm and 900 nm. IR spectra of these complexes showed CT absorption around 3500 - 2500 cm-1. AFM images of cast films composed of (S-TTF-4UM) (F4TCNQ) formed twisted nanowires on the mica substrates. |
