| (in English) | Toward the practical application of advanced driver-assistance systems and automatic driving system, automobiles will be equipped with a lot of sensors. High-speed and highly reliable in-vehicle communication networks are necessary to realize these systems. Recently, the development and standardization of Gigabit Ethernet using step-index plastic optical fiber is in progress. In this paper, the overview of In-vehicle plastic optical fiber communication and recent standardization activities on optical Gigabit Ethernet is described. | |
