Temperature insensitive in-line connection using plastic optical fibers for automotive optical communications

(in English) For automotive optical communication system using plastic optical fibers whose loss increased when the temperature became high, we changed the structure of the connector parts (ferrule) and inserted refractive index matching material at the connection between two fibers. As a result, heat resistance and optical stability were improved, and the approach made significant progress to apply to automotive gigabit communication higher.
