Stress increases the risk of physical and psychological illnesses. When individuals get stressed, it is important to reduce such risks by notifying them and the people around them of an alert according to stress detection. In this paper, we focus on the current situation that the sensing devices have become smaller, lighter, and more advanced and propose a method to detect stress by using a high-performance wristband with multi-sensing. The device used in the experiments can easily acquire a wide range of biological signals such as body temperature and pulse rate acquired with many conventional wristbands, and rich information of PPG (Photoplethysmography) signals. In the experiments, we prepared two types of tasks with different strengths, a presentation task in front of an audience and a mathematical question task. From these results, we confirmed the accuracies of stress detection and discussed how the research needs to be carried out in order to manage stress appropriately using such a wearable device in the future. |
