This paper proposes radio frequency and free-space optics (RF/FSO) hybrid routing for satellite constellations. In the proposed method, when the FSO link between a satellite and ground station (GS) is disrupted due to atmospheric phenomena, a detour path through other available satellites is established. Using numerical calculations, we show how the weather condition affects the performance of the proposed method. |
