A Study on Categorization of Busy/Idle History for Autoregressive Based Busy/Idle Duration Prediction over Real Environmental Channel

(in English) Predicting the channel spectrum (busy or idle) is one of important but challenging topic for a cognitive radio (CR) system which adaptively exploits multiple frequency bands to achieve high spectrum efficiency. We have already proposed a method to predict an upcoming busy/idle duration using autoregressive model with classification of date sequence by a history of busy/idle duration. In this paper, we evaluate the impact of the depth of the classification on the performance of the busy/idle length prediction in a railway terminal for both non-busy and busy hours.
