Recent years, high-frequency acoustic signal is used in a fishfinder. A swimbladder is important to estimate the target strength (TS) of swimbladdered fish. However, it is considered that the effect of detailed structure such as bones is important for TS estimation of non-swimbladder fish. In this paper, comparisons of TS of swimbladdered fish and non-swimbladder fish were performed by numerical simulation. As the result, it is found that TS of swimbladdered fish and non-swimbladder fish strongly depend on swimbladder and bones, respectively. |
