Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) In the PCR method, a strong DNA amplification technology, DNA is denatured from double strand to single strand at high temperature. However, during the process of PCR, DNA and enzymes are damaged by the condition of high temperature of 94℃. We have so far proposed and developed a new DNA amplification method using vibration instead of using high temperature state. In our method, DNA is denatured by vibrating the DNA solution at audible frequencies using a wave transducer. To analyze the results of DNA amplification by vibration, a microchip-type electrophoresis was used. Furthermore, the energy applied to DNA by vibration was estimated, and the relationship between the estimated values and the amplification of DNA was discussed.
