Thermoacoustic systems can perform cooling and electric generation by using waste heat of factory and sunlight, so they can solve global environment problems. The present group is then studying the coaxial type thermoacoustic system (coaxial type) which is expected to be compact and to have wide applications. In a previous study, the position of a prime mover (PM) is modified to enhance the cooling ability of the coaxial type. In specified cases of the position of PM, the cooling ability improved. However, it is consider that completely occupying narrow channel of PM by the viscous boundary layer occurred the shift from the fundamental mode to the secondary mode. In this study, the boundary condition where the secondary mode hardly occurs was applied to the coaxial type to reduce the transition of the resonance mode. As the results, it is confirmed that the secondary mode decrease. In addition, the closed flow path in the narrow channel by increasing the viscous boundary layer does not occur. |
