| (in English) | In Named Data Networking (NDN), a client requests a content by its content identifier, instead of the server's IP address. When a router or a node around the client stores the content in the cache, it transfers from the cache. As a result, it is possible to provide information quickly and efficiently for many users. In the NDN, a content distributor can configure the content's expiration time at each cache. If the expiration time becomes longer to effectively use the cache then the traffic volume will decrease, but the possibility to get an old content increases. Conversely, if the expiration time becomes shorter to reduce the possibility to get an old content, then the traffic volume will increase. In order to solve this trade-off, the authors proposed an automatic cache update method where a router queries whether the content in the cache is updated or not, and automatically removes the old cache. However, the inquiry interval is fixed for all the contents. This paper proposes a new cache update method based on content update dynamic queries to dynamically change the inquiry interval when the content is updated. | |
