Evaluation of Transmission and Communication Characteristic by Difference of VVF Cable Laying Method for PLC Systems

(in English) PLC ( Power Line Communications ) is communications technology to use the power-line which is existing infrastructure as transmission line and can build LAN easily. However, signal transmission and PLC communication characteristics are not evaluated enough because a high frequency band transmission of signal used in PLC communication is not assumed for the power-line. Therefore, the authors measured S21 parameter as a signal transmission characteristic evaluation in 4 kinds of VVF cable laying methods. In addition, we evaluated TCP throughputs by packet capture analysis for experiment using PLC system as a communication characteristics evaluation. In this paper, we show transmission, and communication characteristics by the different VVF cable laying methods.
