An evaluation report for EDF-based packet scheduler implementations with a cloud FPGA service

(in English) Cloud vendors, such as AWS, provides FPGA based IaaS which can be programmed custom hardware accelerator with affordable costs.
To realize the Internet satisfying different latency requirements from different applications, we have been studying the feasibility of the hardware implementation of Earliest Deadline First (EDF) based packet scheduler using on-premise FPGA systems.
We implemented the EDF based packet scheduler on cloud FPGA instances, AWS EC2 F1.
Then, we confirmed the cloud FPGA is a useful approach for network system developments as well as on-premise one.
