Observation of Target with various structure in THz-POLSAR

(in English) Terahertz wave is electromagnetic wave which have both characteristics of radio wave and light wave, and it is possible to realize wideband and extremely short pulse. Therefore, researches to apply terahertz waves to sensing and blazing a new application field have been energetically conducted. Also, in the field of remote sensing, polarized synthetic aperture radar (POLSAR) is used to improve the discrimination ability of targets, and its effectiveness is known. In this report, we propose a new non-destructive measurement by THz-POLSAR combining the POLSAR with the broadband sensing using the terahertz pulse. In order to evaluate the performance of the THz-POLSAR, we clarify the ability of the position detection and the structure identification through the measurement using a target with various structures.
