A Study on the Structure of Coaxial Non-Resonant Electrical Field Probe

(in English) In recent years, it is necessary to construct a compact antenna measurement system from view point of free-space pass loss, due to the demand for antenna in millimeter wave band has increase. The structure of probe for measurement and measurement system in millimeter wave can be quite complex, since millimeter wave length is very short. And, probe of large structure as compared to the wavelength affects characteristics of AUT and electromagnetic filed in reactive-near-field measurement. Therefore, we consider millimeter wave compatible electric field probe of simple structure in which one side of the coaxial cable is opened and the open portion is short-circuited with a copper plate. In this paper, we proposed the coaxial non-resonant electric field probe with a simple structure and non-resonant characteristics not affecting the AUT and clarified the structure and various characteristics of the probe.
