We evaluated an optical multicarrier frequency-modulated-continuous-wave(FM-CW) radar system using an optical frequency comb generator consisted by optical Mach-Zehnder intensity modulator. Sideband components of the generated optical FM-CW signals with different time-frequency slopes produce multiple intermediate frequency (beat frequency) components at a receiver simultaneously. A multiple signal classification (MUSIC) method as a post processing is discussed for identification of received signals and enhancement of ranging precision. |
