Eavesdropping Method Using ICA for Secure Information Transmission with AFF and Its Countermeasure
Satoshi Kirino, Hideichi Sasaoka, Hisato Iwai (Doshisha Univ.) RCS2018-182
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) Secure information transmission using artificial fast fading (AFF) scheme has been proposed as physical layer security using radio waves in a multiple-input single-output (MISO) system. In the AFF, an authorized receiver can receive a desired signal, while a transmitter multiply a transmission signal by randomly vary weights at multiple antennas. However, the eavesdropping method using independent component analysis (ICA) is not considered. This paper evaluated the eavesdropping method and show that decrease secrecy capacity by simulation. This paper also examined the application of extended symbol mapping scheme as a countermeasure of eavesdropping. Simulation results show that application of the countermeasure greatly raises the bit error rate (BER) at an eavesdropper and keeps adequate secrecy capacity.
