(in English) The Wi-SUN FAN (Field Area Network) is a new standard of the international wireless communication standard "Wi-SUN" that is best suited to the construction of IoT (Internet of Things: "Internet" of the Internet), metering of electricity, gas and water , It is expected as a network technology capable of covering a wide area by multihop (multistage relay) communication in applications such as utilization as a sensor network infrastructure. In this paper we report the characteristics and technical performance of Wi - SUN FAN wireless communication developed under the guidance of Professor Harada of the Graduate School of Informatics, Kyoto University.
