Magnetic coupling power transfer k, Q, and kQ of various length primary coils for a battery-less mini-4WD vehicle

(in English) As an effective model of wireless power transfer experiments, this paper presents a battery-less mini-4WD vehicle powered by magnetic coupling power transfer. To make the vehicle run on a long roadway, one can choose a long primary coil or multiple short primary coils. We fabricated eight primary coils having different lengths. Then, we measured them in k, Q, and kQ. We revealed that kQ decreases inversely proportional to the coil length. Finally, we confirmed that it works from 1 cm to 128 cm in the coil length with kQ = 2 to 10 at the stimulus frequency of 200 kHz.
