A study on PAPR suppression using perturbation vector in OFDM

(in English) In the OFDM transmission method, a method using extended signal points has been proposed as one of methods for reducing PAPR. In this method, the combination of subcarriers including the extended signal point that minimizes PAPR is determined by the full search method, but the problem is that the amount of calculation increases. In addition, since the extended signal points are eliminated by modulo calculation in demodulation, the BER performance deteriorates. In this paper, we propose a method of selecting subcarrier combination candidates using extended signal points based on signal displacement by clipping. In addition, by detecting subcarriers using extended signal points, we proposed a method to limit the degradation of BER performance by selecting the subcarriers to which elimination process is applied. By computer simulation, we reduced the calculation amount in CCDF of PAPR. Also we improved the BER characteristics.
