[Encouragement Talk] Interference Suppression Schemes for Pilot Decontamination on Multicell Massive MIMO Systems

(in English) This paper presents interference suppression performance of our proposed semi-blind uplink interference suppression scheme for multicell multiuser massive MIMO systems. It applies constant modulus algorithm (CMA) and exploits CSI aided reception weight as an initial input of CMA. Obtained weight can extract desired signal for desired user terminals (UTs) by suppressing IUI and ICI. In addition, decision feedback channel estimation (DFCE) is then introduced to further enhance interference suppression performance by improving CSI estimation accuracy. A series of signal processing, MMSE--CMA--DFCE, can be iteratively performed and can improve SINR and outage probability performances with limited symbol amount. It also employs fractional pilot reuse (FPR) and beamspace preprocessing to further enhance its effectiveness. This paper provides their detailed evaluations.
