[Poster Presentation] UAV Navigation Method Cooperated with Wireless Sensor Network Based on Received Signal Strength

(in English) UAV delivery services have been studied and developed actively. However, the operation of these services in urban areas is difficult due to problems such as safety on the ground when the UAV crashes. In urban areas, meanwhile, watt-hour meters with wireless communication functions called smart meters are in widespread use and are expected to form a large-scale wireless sensor network. This paper proposes a UAV navigation method considering ground safety by cooperating between UAV and a underlying wireless sensor network. In the proposal method, the sensor network constructs a flight path of the UAV, and then the UAV flies along the path using received signal strength of the wireless signal transmitted from the next node to go. This paper also verifies the behavior of the UAV by computer simulation.
