We experimentally demonstrate 8-ch., 32-Gbaud 16-QAM WDM signals transmission through a lossless 4 × 4 silicon photonics switch with a flip-chip bonded 4-ch InP-based SOA. We confirmed that the switch can compensate the fiber-to-fiber loss at a wide wavelength range of 1510 ~ 1560 nm by injecting current into the SOA. Multi-stage cascaded transmission up to 4 stages was confirmed by optimizing nonlinearity and OSNR. |
